Chex Muddy Buddies are Sooo Good!

Make Your Family Some Chex Muddy Buddies, They Will Thank You For It

chex muddy buddiesOk, who hasn’t heard of Chex Muddy Buddies? Probably not many people. I’ve been eating Chex Muddy Buddies since I was a kid. Not that I am old or anything, cause I’m 36 years young. 😉 I remember making these with my mom and now I am making them with my kids. Chex Muddy Buddies are one of those sweet treats that once I start eating them, it takes a lot of self control to stop. They are just that good. It seems to disappear by the handfuls around my house. And when the bowl is empty. You may or may not find one or both of my kids trying to lick the bowl.

Make Enough For Everyone!

While making my last DOUBLE batch, my husband told our kids that I was making it all for him to take on the road when he goes to work. Oh my goodness, you should have seen the look on my kids faces. You would have thought the family dog had died. I shouldn’t have, but I couldn’t help but laugh. My husband is always cracking jokes and playing pranks on my kids, but they weren’t having it this time. Of course, he was just messing around with them, but it sure was funny.

Concluding Thoughts

I always know an afternoon of making Chex Muddy Buddies is in my near future when the hubby comes home with 10 bags of chocolate chips, peanut butter and of course Chex cereal. I need industrial sized mixing bowls with how much he wants me to make at one time. Even my largest stainless steel bowl isn’t cutting it. And it’s a large bowl.!

It’s always fun to add mix-in ideas around the holidays. For Halloween there is always Reeses pieces, or candy corns.  Or for Christmas try red and green m&m’s or peppermint pieces. Honestly, the possibilites are endless. Get creative and just have fun with it!
