Easy Dairy Free Sandwich Bread Recipe
Easy Dairy Free Sandwich Bread Recipe – Great For Beginners
Finding a New Passion in Baking
I love walking thru the bakery at the grocery store. The smell and sight of the fancy breads and rolls get me every time. Boy, would I be in heaven if I ever found myself strolling through the streets of Italy. So I finally decided to try and make some homemade bread on my own. To be honest, I was a little nervous at first. All sorts of questions went through my mind. Is it going to take me all day to make one or two loaves of bread? What if it doesn’t rise right? Will kneading it by hand be enough? But after finding this easy dairy free sandwich bread recipe and making it once, I was hooked. This recipe is very easy to read and understand. As far as my family goes, it doesn’t matter if the recipe is dairy and egg free. That’s just a bonus, in my opinion. But, if you are looking to keep dairy out of your diet or you are a vegan. This bread is really tasty and easy to make!
Easy to Make on the First Try
Having never made bread from scratch before, I was pleasantly surprised. The longest part of this easy dairy free sandwich bread recipe was actually just waiting for the dough to rise. I followed the recipe to make the dough and found kneading the bread by hand to be a nice stress reliever. Boom! killing to birds with one stone! I however, did make the mistake of trying to knead the dough with my hand held mixer at one point. That was definitely a big no, no! The dough just gets caught in the beaters and makes it impossible to mix it. So after wasting 10 minutes on scrapping the dough out of the beaters I went back to kneading it by hand. And until I find a Kitchen-Aid mixer under my Christmas tree. I will stick with kneading dough by hand.
While I let the dough rise I went about my house chores and would periodically check to see the progress. When it was time, I popped those pans in the oven and let the smell of fresh baking bread fill my house. Is that a candle scent? If not, it should be. Roughly, 30 minutes later I had warm, homemade loaves of bread cooling on my counter. My family and I couldn’t wait to taste it. After letting it cool just enough that I could cut it without totally destroying it, we had our first bites. The crust was crisp while the middle was soft and airy. Right then, this recipe became an instant hit with my family.
I stumbled upon this easy dairy free sandwich bread recipe during one of my many Pinterest filled afternoons. Recipe comes from Frugal Family Home.
